General Information

•Auditions are open to violin, viola, cello and bass players

•The Junior String Ensemble is open to ages 9 and up

•The Youth Orchestra is open to ages 12 and up

•The Chamber Orchestra is open to pre-college and college students with an advanced level of playing.

The ages for each orchestra are approximate.  Although students are

placed in an orchestra based partly on age, they are also placed based on

skill level and experience.

Fall Audition Dates

1. •    Date 1: Monday September 19th 6 to 8pm
   

2. •    Date 2: Monday September 26 6 to 8pm
   

3. •    Date 3: Saturday October 3rd 10 t0 12pm

Monday auditions take place at:

North Wales Church of Christ 300

Saturday auditions take place at Director’s home studio:

406 Dylan dr. Lansdale, PA 19446. Lower Level

Audition Repertoire

•All students should be prepared to play the following at their audition:

•One major scale of their choice, 3 octaves

•One minor scale of their choice, 3 octaves

•An Etude

•A solo piece/major concerto.  There will not be a pianist, so the student should be prepared to play unaccompanied.

•Sight reading.  Music will be provided for the student to sight read at the audition.  This is to see how quickly the student could potentially learn new music.

Scheduling an Audition

•Print and complete the member application form (adrianalinaresmusic.com/ESYO_Audition_APP_FORM.html) and bring it to your audition.

•Auditions last approximately 10-15 minutes.

•You will be notified of your acceptance and orchestra placement within two weeks of your audition.

Tuition & Fees

1. •    $35 Registration Fee    
   

2. •    $30 Audition Fee
   

Annual Tuition rates:

1. •     $425 for the Junior String Ensemble
   

2. •     $475 for the Youth Orchestra
   

3. •     $450 for the Chamber Orchestra

2. •Registration fee is waived for current Elite Strings private students.
