Adriana Linares, Program Director and viola

Soloist and active chamber musician. String Department Faculty at Kutztown University, Guest Principal Viola of the Philadelphia Virtuosi and Harrisburg Symphony. Member of the Satori Chamber Players, and Dali String Ensemble. Served as guest artist and faculty at the Yellow Barn Chamber Music Festival, and the Festival Nuevo Mundo in Venezuela. Recordings under NAXOS label as soloist, world premiere of American composer Hower Hanson, “Summer Sea Side #2.”  B.M Indiana University, M.M Temple University. Studies with Atar Arad, Roberto Diaz and Roger Tapping.

Luigi Mazzochi, violin/viola

Soloist, chamber musician, and Orchestra performer. Mr. Mazzocchi began his musical studies at the famous Venezuelan Youth Orchestra System “EL SISTEMA”, and the V. E. Sojo Conservatory in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. He has studied violin with J. F. del Castillo, L. Ciulei, and H. Kwalwasser. He has also participated in violin courses with T. Tanaka, M. Pardee, Z. Bron, O. Charlier, B. Del Pasquale, L. Biava, D. Arben, among others. Mr. Mazzocchi has a B.M. from Rowan University and an M.M. from Temple University. He is the associate concertmaster of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Opera Company of Philadelphia.

 

  


Julian Meyer, violin

Mr. Meyer is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts where he studied with Jani Szanto.  He holds a Master of Music degree from Temple University where he studied with Helen Kwalwasser.  Further studies were at the Juilliard School of Music with Ivan Galamain and Dorothy DeLay.  Most of his work has been dedicated to teaching young children, producing a number who have soloed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and other area orchestras.  He is on the faculty at Temple University Music Preparatory Division Center for Gifted Young Musicians and the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential.




Jesus Morales, cello

Soloist, chamber musician, Jesús A. Morales Matos currently serves as Principal Cello with the Philadelphia Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, and Adjunct Faculty at Temple University. He previously held the positions of Principal Cellist of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Puerto Rico and Professor of Cello at the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico and the Children's String Program. Mr. Morales holds a bachelors degree from The Cleveland Institute of Music and has done postgraduate work at the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. His major teachers include Dr. Ronald Crutcher, Alan Harris, Helga Winold, Yehuda Hanani, and chamber music with Peter Oundjian.

Michael Locati (violin/viola)

Michael Locati received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in violin performance at Rutgers University as a student of Arnold Steinhardt of the Guarneri String Quartet. Other teachers include Taras Gabora, Albert Gillis, Michael Tree, and Dr. David Margetts. Michael has been active as a chamber musician in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He has performed as first violinist with the Tristan String Quartet (Canada) and the Petra String Quartet (New Jersey). He has been an artist in residence at Seton Hall University, the Shaw Festival in Canada, and the Pundaquit Chamber Music Festival in the Philippines. Michael was the winner of the 1992 St. Louis Artist Presentation Society Award and the Ellen M. Egger Award in Viola performance. Michael has been on the faculty of Seton Hall University, Moravian College, and the Kinhaven Music School.

 

We are very excited to start this unique musical program designed to combine a highly disciplined musical training process with unique opportunities for performance for young string players. 

The ELITE STRINGS Program places utmost importance on excellent teaching, counseling and coaching in the development of the young musician. Our faculty is comprised of master teachers in their instrument, with international backgrounds and outstanding performing careers as well as music educators

The program will run under the framework of the COMMUNITY CONSERVATORY in Doylestown and it is a distinctive offering in the central Bucks and Montgomery County.


The location of the ELITE STRINGS PROGRAM is at the Faith Lutheran Church, 615 Cowpath Rd. Montgomeryville, PA 18936.
