The Elite Strings Orchestra Program was founded by Adriana Linares, as a venue to fulfill her desire to provide exceptional mentoring and performance opportunities to students in her private lessons program, as well as to talented young musicians she met through the Dali Quartet Chamber Music Camp & Festival, and through her involvement with the North Penn Youth Orchestra and the Bridle Path/Montgomery Select String Ensemble programs. Members are accepted by audition.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are held at the North Penn Church of Christ, located at 300 North Wales Road in North Wales, Pennsylvania.

Junior Ensemble (ages 7-12):

Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm-8:30pm

Youth Orchestra (ages 12 and up):

Monday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm

Chamber Orchestra (pre-college, college & ESP faculty):

Monday evenings from 5pm-6:30pm

Why join the ESO Program?

1. 1.Students get to perform side by side with professional players, members of the Dali Quartet and Elite Strings Faculty.
   

2. 2.In addition to performing the standard classical literature, students will be exposed to an international repertoire, performing music from other musical genres and styles such as Jazz, Latin, and Middle Eastern music.
   

3. 3.VIP access to master classes and workshops by renown international guest artists such as Steve Tenenbom, Roberto Diaz and Emilio Colon (offered only to ESO and ESP private students)
   

4. 4.String Sectionals, Chamber Music readings, and theory sessions will be part of the weekly Ensemble and Orchestra rehearsals,

MISSION

The Elite Strings Orchestra Program offers a Holistic String Performance Plan tailored to enhance the development of young musicians. Along with private lessons, the orchestral training is committed to provide the instruction and experience necessary to achieve the highest level of performance. In addition, it is the objective of the Elite Strings Orchestra Program staff to help young musicians grow as integral members of an ensemble, while developing a unique perspective and appreciation of a wide variety of classical, jazz, and Latin American repertoire.

Performance Opportunities

The orchestras and ensembles will perform a winter, spring and summer concert as part of their regular series. Additionally, the ESO will perform at international music festivals, fundraisers, community outreach events, retirement home visits, adjudications, and outdoor concert series events.  A detailed schedule of performances will be provided at the  welcome meeting. Membership  Qualifications

The Elite Strings Orchestra Program accommodates students ranging from elementary school through college. Junior Division students are required to have at least one year of private instruction,Youth and Chamber Orchestra students are required a minimum of three years of private instruction.  CLICK HERE FOR AUDITION INFORMATION

Attendance

When joining the ESO program, members are expected to make this group a priority. Attendance is expected at all rehearsals, performances and events. Members are allowed a maximum of three absences, one of which may be unexcused. An absence will be excused for illness or family emergency.

Financial aid and payment installments are available. Registration fee is waived for current Elite Strings private students.
