ELITE STRINGS
YOUTH ORCHESTRA PROGRAM
& STRING ENSEMBLES
The Elite Strings Youth Orchestra Program was founded by Adriana Linares, as a venue to fulfill her desire to provide exceptional mentoring and performance opportunities to students in her private lessons program, as well as to talented young musicians she met through the Dali Quartet Chamber Music Camp & Festival, conducted at the Community Conservatory, and through her involvement with the North Penn Youth Orchestra and the Bridle Path/Montgomery Select String Ensemble programs.
Why join the ESYO Program?
1.Students get to perform side by side with professional players, members of the Dali Quartet and Elite Strings Faculty.
2.In addition to performing the standard classical literature, students will be exposed to an international repertoire, performing music from other musical genres and styles such as Jazz, Latin, and Middle Eastern music.
3.VIP access to master classes and workshops by renown international guest artists (offered only to ESYO and Elite Strings Private students)
4.String Sectionals, Chamber Music readings, and theory sessions will be part of the weekly Ensemble and Orchestra rehearsals,
5.Because you will have a great time playing music with others!
MISSION
The ESYO program offers a Holistic String Performance Plan tailored to enhance the development of young musicians. Along with private lessons, the orchestral training is committed to provide the instruction and experience necessary to achieve the highest level of performance. In addition, it is the objective of the ESYO staff to help young musicians grow as integral members of an ensemble, while developing a unique perspective and appreciation of a wide variety of classical, jazz, and Latin American repertoire.
Performance Opportunities
The orchestras and ensembles will perform a winter, spring and summer concert at the Lansdale Center for the Performing Arts. Additional performances such as fundraisers, community outreach events, retirement home visits, adjudications, and outdoor concert series events may be scheduled. A detailed schedule of performances will be provided at the welcome meeting. Future plans include attending conferences, conferences, festivals, and tours.
